LindenGrove Communities, one of the region’s largest nonprofit senior living organizations, today announced its New Berlin rehabilitation and nursing center has received a perfect survey from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
The perfect survey indicates LindenGrove Communities in New Berlin was 100 percent compliant with stringent federal and state regulations and standards. Deficiency-free surveys are rare and difficult to achieve; surveyors examine a variety of criteria in 29 categories including quality of care, residents’ rights, food services, administration, safety and cleanliness.
“Receiving a perfect survey is an outstanding accomplishment,” said Linda Joel, CEO and President of LindenGrove Communities. “The survey results are a reflection of our team members who are dedicated to providing the very best experience to our residents. It’s an honor to be surrounded by such a committed, compassionate group of employees.”
Skilled nursing facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid are required to undergo a survey each year to evaluate overall quality of care. According to Medicare.gov, Wisconsin facilities averaged 8.2 deficiencies per survey.
LindenGrove Communities in New Berlin is rated five out of five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services – an honor reserved for only the top 10 percent of nursing facilities in the United States.
Besides the 131-bed rehabilitation and nursing center, LindenGrove Communities offers a small-scale memory care home at its New Berlin campus.
