New LindenGrove Program Offers Short-Term Support to Adults Recovering from Illness or Surgery
LindenGrove has created a new program that provides additional support for older adults recovering from an illness or surgery.
The LindenGrove Bridge Program provides temporary assisted living and health recovery support after being discharged from a hospital, emergency room or rehabilitation center stay.
Many times due to insurance restrictions, adults are discharged before they feel they are fully ready to return home. Those individuals may no longer need costly, 24-hour-per-day skilled nursing care, but still require some assistance to live comfortably and safely.
The new program solves this dilemma. Individuals stay in a fully furnished assisted living apartment complete with a no-barrier bath and shower, kitchenette and personal storage, and receive health recovery support that might include rehabilitation services, daily living activity assistance, medication reminders and monitoring and medical appointment transportation until they are ready to return home. Plus, residential staff and a registered nurse are always on-site to ensure a safe, stress-free environment.
The program is intended for adults 62 years of age and older who intend to return to independent living after their short-term stay, which may be anywhere from two weeks to three months, at LindenGrove.
The LindenGrove Bridge program is currently available at the Linden Heights Waukesha location. Because the apartment stay is temporary, there isn’t a long lease to sign. Instead residents in the program pay a daily rate, which ranges from $165 to $215.
